Patrick Ward

Patrick Ward is the founder of Aitheria Partners, an advisory firm helping organisations across Europe adopt AI and digital technologies in a practical, commercially grounded way, with a focus on governance, business models and value realisation.

He lectures at UCD Smurfit Business School, teaching digital and AI transformation on the MBA programme and postgraduate executive diplomas, and serves as European Director of the Edge AI Foundation. Patrick is also a Commercialisation Fund Evaluator for Enterprise Ireland.

Patrick has over 30 years of commercial and technical leadership experience, including 12 years at Microsoft, most recently as Director of the IoT Partner team for EMEA. He pioneered a consulting sales approach that was adopted by Microsoft worldwide and worked with organisations such as Bosch, Siemens and ABB on large-scale digital transformation initiatives. He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from Technological University Dublin and an MBA from UCD Smurfit Business School.
